Improving Critical Facility Incident Response: Document Control Rooms

Start Time: 9/24/2019 10:15:00 AM
End Time: 9/24/2019 11:15:00 AM

When disaster strikes a critical facility, a document control room is an underused best practice. A central repository for everything from commissioning records to equipment and parts information to schematics, this room serves as a command center, offering space for brainstorming, and access to critical documentation when it’s needed most. This session explores ways facility professionals can implement a plan to create a document control room at their facility, and share practices that have been successful for other critical organizations.

Learning Objectives:
1. Explain why this practice contributes to uptime
2. Provide an easy to implement plan for a central critical documentation repository
3. Describe how the room will serve as a command center during an event and define strategies for related spaces
4. Share practices that have worked well for highly successful critical operations
