Start Time: 9/25/2019 1:15:00 PM
End Time: 9/25/2019 2:15:00 PM
Commissioning electrical systems in critical facilities requires great care, planning, and coordination. Performing this task correctly can save your clients the extreme costs and embarrassment of system outages due to improperly tested equipment or insufficient levels of testing. This presentation will discuss the commissioning process, tasks and sequences along with discuss the importance of coordination and cooperation required to successfully ensure your electrical systems and entire facility will perform as intended.
1. Provide an overview of critical facility electrical systems and the importance of early involvement of the commissioning team
2. Understand critical tasks needed to coordinate and communicate electrical commissioning activities with other ongoing activities in critical facilities
3. Understand integrating electrical and mechanical commissioning tasks for streamlining schedule and contribute to on-time completion
4. Recognize potential impacts to critical facility operations from inadequate testing during startup and commissioning of electrical systems and review the benefits for complete combined discipline testing and integrated systems testing
